Music

Search the internet for the benefits of music, and chances are you’ll find this article by PBS, information posted by the National Association for Music Education, or even scholarly articles on why students should participate in music. Academic performance, social skills, and creativity outlets are just a few of the important reasons why music is so important to our youth. We promote a sound music education for our youth with the following programs:

Private and Group Instruction

Private and group lessons offered for all school band instruments. Lessons assist students with developing and maintaining fundamentals, technique and musicianship to play their instrument at the highest levels.

Private instruction will allow students to learn and grow individually with a professional instructor. Students will work on technical exercises, musicianship, and study solo literature characteristic to their instrument.

Group lessons will be organized by instruments or closely related instruments. Students will work in groups with a professional instructor on tone, technique, and characteristic approaches to their specific instrument. Small group sessions may include chamber group performance opportunities.

Music Ensembles

Music ensembles bring students together to perform in small and large group settings. Students will experience a high level of performance literature and concert opportunities.

Music ensembles will depend on the instrumentation of enrollees during each session. All ensemble courses will culminate with a public performance.
